Nice new stuff from Head Porter and The Reed Space, both of whom be the okey-dokey, if you know what I’m saying. If not, they still have some baggage accessories for anything you feel like accessorizing, in clean colorways. Catch up…

At least three times today at work I almost cracked up thinking about this clip from 30 Rock.

Mishka has designed some of the nicest looking, yet completely controversial pieces of the past few years. Their collab with Richard Kern is crazy!

I would totally live in this! Concept house designed by Victor Vetterlein incorporates wind turbines, paint made of solar cells, and rainwater collection…in theory, due to the whole “concept” thing, of course. Tons more info at Dezeen.

What do you think? New Balance would seem to be, clinically speaking, hurting the game. You could wear the ones in the top pic to work.

Check out these bad-ass eggs (really) from artist Henk Hofstra. The project, called “Art Eggcident” will be in the city of Leeuwarden in the Netherlands for the next 6 months…in case you’re in the Netherlands…which you probably won’t be…really, you should go.

Have I mentioned that I love psychology before? No…well, then…I started work today at the University of Pittsburgh in the Smoking Research Group…in the Psychology Department…and it kicks ass! I was getting used to being NDA’d working in the private sector (heh), so I’m not even sure what I can say about the research other than the principal is a heavy hitter in the fields of addiction and dependence named Saul Shiffman…He’s a little impressive and I haven’t even met him yet…like 56 page c.v. impressive…over 250 peer-reviewed articles impressive…yikes…He seems to dabble in the areas of Social Cognition, which is where the joe wants his phd…
…Working at Pitt seems nice. Academic payscale, but academic perks. Of course, I tell my folks and responsible (and not-so) friends about the benefits and 401K…but I’m loving the discount at the new balance store and the bus pass. Who knew getting a 9-5 would make me more ghetto? (Just kidding, pops…)

I can’t say much more. I really like this, but would definitely stick with the fish: Mathieu Lehanneur’s “refrigerator-aquarium” called Local River, currently at Artists Space in NY.
